Children’s Ministry
Children of all ages will find a welcoming and nurturing home at St. Peter’s in the Woods, where we come together to learn about God, make friends and have fun!
Children are warmly welcomed at any of our worship services. If helpful, we have worship activity supplies for younger children to enjoy during the service.
Children of all ages are also welcome to receive Holy Communion. When we baptize children, we welcome them into the family of God, as full members of God’s church. Once we are baptized, regardless of age, we are welcome to receive Communion. If you would prefer for your child to receive a blessing, please let the priest know when you come up for communion.

Celebrate God's creation this summer with St. Peter's in the Woods. SPW's 5-day camp will empower kids in grades PreK-Grade 6 to grow in faith, have fun, and change the world. Each day, kids will explore Jesus’ Parable of the Sower with age-appropriate activities that help kids learn how to care for God’s creation. Experience the change your kids can make today!

Youth Ministry Leader Fund
We need your PLEDGE by 31 June 2024 so we can begin the search for a Youth Ministry Director to begin this important work in September. Your PLEDGE will indicate that it is to be fulfilled by 1 September 2024,
If we have not pledged sufficient funds by 31 June, all who have donated will be given the option to receive a full refund or to redirect their contribution elsewhere in the church.
If we determine on 31 June that sufficient funds to compensate a Youth Ministry Director have pledged or donated, we will need your PLEDGE FULFILLED by 1 September 2024 so that we can pay our new Youth Ministry Director.
Youth Group
Youth in grades 6 - 12 are invited to explore their faith, form friendships and have fun all while in a group formed just for them. We are a welcoming, active group that enjoys coming together. Contact Barbara Harris for more information.
Youth Acolytes
Kids ages 9 and older are invited to consider being an acolyte, assisting the priests in worship. Acolytes are a vital part of our worship team. Serving as an acolyte is a wonderful way to experience church and get to know other kids.
Noah’s Nursery
OPEN! 9:30 - 11:30 on Sunday mornings
If you’d like a place for your little one to enjoy while you enjoy worship, Noah’s Nursery is a joyful, warm and caring space led by trained, professional childcare providers. We work closely with our parents to ensure that children are comfortable and happy so all can enjoy their Sunday morning experience.
Children's Chapel
Children's Chapel meets weekly during the program year at 10:00 a.m. in our downstairs classroom. Geared for pre-K through grade 5, Children's Chapel includes songs, games, prayers and other fun activities.
Class runs from 10 – 10:30; children return at the Peace for Eucharist with their families. Contact Carolanne Petrusiak to get your child connected with this wonderful ministry!
