The Sounds of Christmas – Records and the Radio

Christmas recording and radio broadcasts are almost as old as records and radio themselves. Join us for an evening hosted by parishioner Matthew Barton, curator of recorded sound at the Library of Congress as we explore an illustrated montage of Christmas music from all over the United States and the world. This hour-long presentation will feature music ranging from the 1900s on, mixed with historic radio dramas, comedies and news broadcasts that reflect Christmas in war and peace.
