If you are in grades 6-12 and want to have a blast and make friends, Youth Group is for you! Every Sunday evening, students in grades 6-12 gather for a fantastic time and fellowship. We are a welcoming, active group that enjoys coming together each Sunday to grow in our faith and friendships. Meets Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:15 pm.

Sunday School, 9:00 – 9:45 am, September through mid-June.

  • Explorers, grades 7 – 12. Using an engaging and fun animated video series, Explorers will have a chance to express their thoughts, explore their faith, and ask questions about God.

Youth Choir

We are made up of elementary and middle school children of the church. We have fun as we learn the anthems and hymns, as well as fundamentals of music and liturgy. Our anthems are either unison or two parts. Come join us to grow as a singer and build friendships in the community!

Youth Acolytes

Kids ages 9 and older are invited to consider being an acolyte, assisting the priests in worship. Acolytes are a vital part of our worship team. Serving as an acolyte is a wonderful way to experience church and get to know other kids.

Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body, the Church. We baptize people of all ages, from newborns through older adults. In Holy Baptism we welcome our newest members into the church and as a community vow to support them in their lives in Christ. Baptisms are held during regular worship services throughout the year, especially on

  • Pentecost
  • All Saints Day
  • Baptism of our Lord (Sunday after Epiphany)
  • Easter
  • St. Peter’s Day (Sunday closest to June 29th)

Of course, we are happy to work with you to schedule a date that works for you. For more information on Baptism, please contact Rev.Susan at or the church office at 703-503-9210.  Click here to view the Diocese of Virginia guidelines for the rites of initiation.

We offer Confirmation Classes for adults and teens who are ready to make a mature, public affirmation of faith, and to take on the vows made at their baptism for themselves. Confirmation classes invite participants to explore and deepen their faith and to learn more about the Episcopal Church as they prepare to re-affirm their baptismal promises. Confirmation classes are held once a year starting in the fall and end with a confirmation service during the Bishop’s visit in the spring. Contact Rev. Susan Hartzell at or the church office at 703-503-9210 for more information.
